What data collection is expected as part of Hope Squad implementation?

Hope Squad asks schools to participate in basic program evaluation and impact measurement as part of implementation. Data helps schools understand whether the program is being implemented as intended, identify areas for improvement, demonstrate impact, and support sustainability or grant reporting.

District or school policy may require schools to use locally approved data collection methods in place of Hope Squad-provided tools.

Hope Squad provides the tools needed to make this manageable. Core data collection includes pre- and post-surveys for Hope Squad Members, referral tracking, and feedback from key program stakeholders. Results are de-identified and can help schools understand both local progress and broader Hope Squad outcomes.

Schools are not expected to create their own research study or complex evaluation system. Administrators should help establish who will oversee data collection, when it will occur, and how it fits within school or district policies and procedures.

Additional school-specific evaluation or participation in formal research studies may be available, but those efforts are separate from the basic data collection built into Hope Squad implementation.
