What happens after a Hope Squad Member brings a concern to an adult?

Once a Member connects a concern to a trusted adult, the school's established referral or safety process takes over. Trained school personnel determine the appropriate next steps, which may include checking in with the student, contacting designated staff or caregivers, conducting a risk assessment when required, making a referral, or connecting the student to community services. The Member's responsibility is the connection to an adult - not determining the level of risk or managing what happens next.
