What if a parent does not give permission for their child to participate?

Parent or guardian permission is required before a student serves as a Hope Squad Member. If permission is not provided, the student should not participate in the Member role. The family can be given additional information about the program and an opportunity to ask questions, but the decision should be respected. The student can still participate in schoolwide Hope Squad learning, activities, and the broader culture of connection available to all students.
