What needs to be in our referral process before Hope Squad Members begin their role?

The school should have a clear, adult-led process for what happens when a student concern is identified. Advisors, faculty, and relevant staff should know who receives concerns, how urgent concerns are escalated, what documentation is required, and what school-based or community resources are available. Members only need to know how to connect a peer to the appropriate trusted adult; adults remain responsible for assessment, intervention, communication, documentation, and follow-through.
