What parts of Hope Squad are required, and what can we adapt to fit our school?

The core model should remain intact: administrative ownership, trained Advisors, nomination-informed Member selection, parent or guardian permission, foundational Member preparation, clear role boundaries and referral pathways, ongoing Member learning and practice, schoolwide prevention, adult responsibility for safety, and annual evaluation and renewal. Schools can adapt logistics such as meeting times, pacing, staffing assignments, activity choices, communication methods, and how schoolwide lessons fit the local schedule and policy environment. Adaptation should make the program workable locally without removing the elements that make the prevention model function.
