What should I do if our school has limited counseling or mental health resources?
Start by making the resources you do have clear and usable. Identify the adults on campus who receive concerns, review district-level supports, and establish at least one outside mental health or crisis resource that can support students and families when school-based capacity is limited. Community mental health agencies, hospitals, crisis services, telehealth providers, and prevention partners may help strengthen continuity of care. Hope Squad should build on the school's available support system rather than asking students or Advisors to fill clinical gaps.
