When and how should we introduce Hope Squad to parents and caregivers?

Families should hear about Hope Squad before the student nomination and permission process, with additional communication throughout the year. Schools can use parent presentations, introduction letters, permission materials, and family resources to explain the program's purpose, what Members learn, the boundaries of the student role, and how adults remain responsible for safety. Ongoing family communication is especially helpful when it connects to what students are learning or doing at school.
